Dr Michael Lucas graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1984. In 2000 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, gained a Fellowship with Sports Doctors Australia and also completed a Master of Occupation Health and Safety.

Additionally, Dr Lucas is a Training Supervisor with AFOEM and an examiner for AFOEM and RACGP. Dr McCombe has a special interest in conditions of the spine. He has designed and patented two implants, leading to successful manufacture; they are now commonly used in spinal fusion surgery. Dr Peter Trembath has retained a major involvement as a specialist physician in respiratory medicine since 1975. The bulk of his clinical practice in hospital consulting and in his rooms has been attending and assessing patients with respiratory disease. In his private practice, Dr Trembath sees exclusively patients with respiratory disease. This includes patients who have occupational lung disease, as well as other lung disorders.
Over the past 25 years, Dr Trembath has had regular involvement in the assessment of medico-legal claims, including the assessment of patients, and providing expert advice regarding deceased patients. He has provided evidence in relation to these patients in the County Court, the Workers Compensation Court, when it existed, and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
