Dr Bernard Tamba-Lebbie, an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder, hip and knee surgeries, will be discussing the common workplace injuries of the shoulder and knee that he both treats and reports on.

Please join Dr Tamba-Lebbie where he will be covering the mechanism of injury, treatment pathways and the most common resolutions for the shoulder and knee in the workplace. Dr Tamba-Lebbie will also examine the application of GEPI guides and nuisances you should be aware of when preparing and managing a shoulder and knee claim in Queensland.

 

Dr Tamba-Lebbie is keen for this to be a very interactive session. He welcomes questions at any stage throughout his presentation which may provide you with clarity or direction on cases you are currently managing. Equipped with a better understanding of injuries to the shoulder and knee, expected healing time and maximum medical improvement, Dr Tamba-Lebbie hopes that this session will provide you with a relaxed learning opportunity to assist you in managing shoulder and knee cases.

Presenter Bio:

Dr Bernard Tamba-Lebbie attained his MB and CHB in 1994 at the University of Otago, New Zealand. In 2005 he completed his Fellowship training. He undertook a fellowship in shoulder/elbow surgery at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. He subsequently attained a fellowship in knee and hip arthroplasty at the Norfolk and Norwich University Private Hospital.

Dr Tamba-Lebbie is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Sunshine Cost Private Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. He visits Noosa Private Hospital and around the Sunshine Coast area such as Nambour. He has previously held the positions of Arthroplasty Fellow and an Upper Limb Fellow in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Dr Tamba-Lebbie was an Associate Lecture at the University of Queensland and an Orthopaedic Registrar at a number of different hospitals throughout Brisbane, Ipswich and Townsville.

Dr Tamba-Lebbie is an advisor for WorkCover Queensland and has been awarded various other medico-legal accreditations including GEPI2, AMA4, AMA5, AMA6 and MAA (SIRA) NSW. His professional interests include arthroscopy shoulder surgery. His assessment specialties includes the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow.
