A dermatologist is a qualified medical specialist who, through additional training, has obtained postgraduate qualifications to specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin, nail, and hair diseases, and skin cancers.

Dr Megan Andrews gained her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1989. She continued postgraduate studies in dermatology through the Australasian College of Dermatologists, completing her Fellowship in 1997.
