Associate Professor Charles Steadman gained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1980. He completed his training in gastroenterology and hepatology and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1988.

Associate Professor Steadman is registered in Queensland and practises in gastroenterology and hepatology. He currently holds the positions of Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland , Senior Visiting Gastroenterologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Mater Private Hospital.
