Erik Eriksen has over 25 years experience as a practicing general surgeon with particular experience in orthopaedic surgery.
He is able to assess a variety of orthopaedic injuries and general surgical complaints. He has had extensive experience acting as an expert witness and as a consultant at the Pasminco Broken Hill mine assessing and advising injured workers and determining impairment.
Dr Eriksen is AMA 4th and 5th Edition accredited. He is a registered impairment assessor/examiner for the Motor Accident Authority NSW and accredited in South Australia as an Independent Medical Examiner.
Currently, Dr Eriksen is holding a position as a Rehabilitation Consultant in “orthopaedic injuries, the management of chronic soft tissue injuries and pain management” at the Prince Alfred Rehabilitation Centre, Adelaide.
Dr Eriksen qualified as a surgeon in 1972 and has held a number of senior medical positions in Adelaide. He has particular experience in orthopaedic surgery and is able to assess a variety of orthopaedic injuries and general surgical compalints.
