Dr Robert (Bob) Ivers

Summary

Dr Robert Ivers completed his surgical and orthopaedic training in Brisbane and Great Britain. In 1986 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He has secondary qualifications in Information Technology.

After working in Toowoomba for over 30 years in the public and private sector,
Dr Ivers is currently appointed as a Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon under Metro South in Brisbane and working in the public sector at Redland Hospital. He has vast experience in the assessment of orthopaedic injuries and conditions.

Dr Ivers is fully accredited for assessment under AMA 4, 5 and 6 and GEPI. He is accredited as an assessor for Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Northern Territory WorkCover and Comcare. Dr Ivers is an approved Medical Specialist for the New South Wales WorkCover Commission and is also Deputy Chairmen of the Queensland Medical Assessment Tribunal.

Dr Ivers is a qualified and experienced assessor of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine and the extremities. These conditions include those that are congenital and those acquired through disease or trauma. Dr Ivers is available for assessment of patients in Brisbane and in several Queensland regional towns.
