Dr Alan Hopcroft is able to assess a variety of orthopaedic injuries and general surgical complaints. He is an accredited Motor Accident Authority NSW and WorkCover NSW Assessor in the spine, and upper and lower limbs.

Dr Hopcroft has over 30 years experience as a practicing general surgeon. His major area of practice has been in orthopaedic trauma surgery, but he has also maintained an interest in general surgery. For the past 22 years he has held the position of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Manning River District Hospital, NSW.

Dr Hopcroft is also involved as a lecturer/tutor in orthopaedics and general surgery for the Faculty of Medicine, University of Newcastle. The emphasis of his teaching is on the anatomy and surgical pathology of the upper limbs.
