Summary
Dr Jane Muir is a Consultant Occupational Physician experienced in determining fitness to work, managing workplace injuries, and facilitating return to work. In private practice, Dr Muir has worked as Medical Advisor to a range of multinational clients in Oil and Gas, Retail, Manufacturing, Mining, Renewables, and the Banking sector. Dr Muir currently serves as Regional Occupational Health Medical Director-International SOS, a recognised partner of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), where she is responsible for providing clinical support and advice to medics on remote industry sites such as oil rigs and mines.
Dr Muir graduated from Brighton and Sussex Medical School in the UK, and after completing her internship, relocated to Australia in 2010. She commenced specialist training at leading hospitals in NSW, including Prince of Wales Hospital, Gosford and Bankstown Hospitals. She is the recipient of the Deane Southgate Award as a candidate with the highest examination score in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a recipient of the 2024 Ramazzini Prize
