Summary
Dr Oltvolgyi obtained his basic medical degree from University of Queensland in 2005 and completed his residency at Ipswich Hospital.
Dr Oltvolgyi served as an Aviation Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force until 2013. During his time in the permanent Air Force he deployed on operations four times, including one tour of Afghanistan and two to the Middle East.
In 2013 he transferred to the Reserves and performed a number of Defence contractor roles, culminating in being the senior doctor for North Queensland in 2015-16. He then worked as a contractor at sea with Australian Border Force in 2017-18.
He is now in private practice as a specialist occupational & environmental physician in Townsville. He continues to serve in the RAAF Reserve as a Wing Commander.
