Dr Sarah Watts

Summary

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Sarah Watts completed her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1998. She underwent her advanced training in orthopaedic surgery in Queensland, specialising in the lower limb. She has been a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons since 2009. In 2012, Dr Watts attained CIME accreditation which is certification for the use of the AMA Guides from the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME). Dr Watts has also completed the Comcare permanent impairment training to conduct Comcare assessments. She has also participated in the Guidelines to Evaluate Permanent Impairment in October 2014 and is accredited to conduct permanent impairment assessments.

Dr Watts is currently registered in Queensland, and is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. She has previously been the Deputy Directory and Director of Orthopaedics at the Royal Brisbane and Women’ss Hospital. She now works as a Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Brisbane and Women’ss Hospital. Dr Watts has a private practice at St Andrews War Memorial Hospital and visits North West Private Hospital. She remains actively involved in orthopaedic education and research.
