Professor (Andrew) Mark Taylor

Summary

Professor Mark Taylor trained in Medicine at the University college of London and qualified as a doctor in 1988, his postgraduate training in Psychiatry was conducted at the prestigious Maudsley & Bethlem Hospitals in the UK. Under the supervision of Professor Sir Robin Murray, Dr Taylor engaged in an eighteen-month research post at the Institute of Psychiatry in the UK. Following this Dr Taylor completed his specialist training in Psychiatry and addictions at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Scotland.

Following his training Dr Taylor worked in the UK Public Sector with the NHS for many years as a consultant in both Glasgow and Edinburgh but over the last 3 years has been based in Australia developing a private practice.

Professor Taylor has received honorary academic titles for his work both as a teacher and researcher through the University of Edinburgh and the University of Queensland. To note, Dr Taylor has also been the recipient of numerous awards including the Scottish Health Awards for Care at Home’s, a national award in 2011 and the Royal College of Psychiatrists Team of the Year’s award in 2010.
