Dr Richard Lewandowski

Summary

Dr Richard Lewandowski is a highly regarded plastic and reconstructive surgeon who completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Queensland in 1981. Further to this, in 1993 Dr Lewandowski became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, specialising in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1995, he also gained a Fellowship Diploma in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery from the Eastern Virginian Graduate School of Medicine in the United States of America. Additionally, Dr Lewandowksi has been a practicing specialist plastic surgeon for over 20 years, and is well known for his high level of professionalism and attention to detail, and quality care.

In addition to these vast qualifications, he is the Chairman and Founder of Operation Smile Australia, and of Global Controversies in Skin. Dr Lewandowski is also a member to various plastic and reconstructive surgery societies, including the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australian Cleft Lip and Palate Association. He has fully completed his training in GEPI under the skin module, and is AMA 5 accredited. Dr Lewandowski currently resides as the Director of Surgery at the Mater Adult’ss Hospital in South Brisbane.

Dr Lewandowski is both a highly experienced and accredited plastic and reconstructive surgeon, who is an expert in many related fields, among them being head and neck trauma and surgery, wound healing, scarring, burns and reconstructive surgery.
